Air source heat pump (called air water heat pump), it absorbs heat from outside air, provide interior space heating and cooling, espesially in colder climates, it can be used efficiently for water heating in milder climates. A major advantage of air source heat pump is that the same system may be used for heating in winter and cooling in summer. Heat pump performance (COP)

The performance of a heat pump at a set temperature condition is referred to as the coefficient of performance (COP). It is defined as the ratio of heat delivered by the heat pump and the electricity supplied to the compressor.

Higher COPs equate to lower operating costs. More higher COP, more energy saving.

COP is highly dependent on operating conditions, as to the ambient temperature condition, the COP data varies. This is Linsam heat pump COP chart, it at 7℃/35℃ COP of 4, which is produced according to standard of CE and EN14511.

Heat pump water system installation

Air source heat pump water system need to install circulation water pump, water filter, cutoff valves, water flow switch to complete with a full system. The water tank is not a must, can be replaced by underfloor water pipes, fan coil, convector as indoor terminal.

The system circulation water should be good quality water, timely inspection and clean the water filter to ensure sufficient water flow.

Make sure to check the replenish water and exhaust air devices are running normally, and no air in water system to keep sufficient water flow in water pipes.
